Here we have the Dark purple coat with purple velvet collar worn by the Joker played by Jack Nicholson.

This was the first in the series directed by Tim Burton, which starred Michael Keaton as Batman and Kim Basinger as his love interest Vicky Vale. Keaton had to wear the unbearably hot and heavy Batman costume which weighed in at 70lbs. the later costumes were a lot lighter and easier to get in and out of.
